About That’s What She Said
Thank you for visiting “That’s What She Said!” This blog, named after Michael Scott’s trademark punch line in the NBC television show “The Office,” was started by our law firm, Ford & Harrison, in 2006. Our lawyers represent companies that have been sued by their employees and former employees. Just as importantly, we also spend a significant amount of time counseling our clients on avoiding lawsuits and providing managers with training on how to comply with various federal and state employment laws.
Many of us are huge fans of NBC’s hit TV show “The Office.” Watching the employment law mishaps of Dunder Mifflin’s Scanton Branch is a hilarious study of an office environment and it sometimes reminds us of calls we receive from clients. Yes, there are real Michael Scott’s out there! Each episode gives us an opportunity, not only to laugh, but to take an HR lesson or two away from the antics.
“That’s What She Said” dissects these lessons and helps employers understand the real-world implications. And, we also estimate just how much Dunder Mifflin would have to pay to defend itself in a real lawsuit.
We hope you enjoy the blog and will share any thoughts you have. You can also learn more about our firm at www.fordharrison.com.
