Vote for Your Favorite Law Blog

The American Bar Association (ABA) Journal is once again holding an election to pick the most popular law blogs — blawgs — in the land. And the nominees include four by members of the Employers Counsel Network (ECN), a group of law firms in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Canada that advise and represent employers on all manner of workplace issues.

In the Labor and Employment category, the following blogs from ECN attorneys made the ABA Journal’s top 100 blawgs.

  • Arizoneout by Dinita James of Ford & Harrison in Phoenix. The ABA Journal’s description of James’ effort quotes M. Lee Smith Publishers’ Tony Kessler: “Who would have ever thought that a blawg about medical marijuana in the workplace would take off and reach such dizzying heights? . . . Each new installment creates a stash of valuable information that readers can put in their pipe and smoke.”
  • Delaware Employment Law Blog by Molly Dibianca of Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor in Wilmington, Delaware. This blawg focuses on social media issues as well as other cutting-edge topics such as privacy and protected concerted activity related to online posts by employees.
  • Work Matters by Dallas attorney Mike Maslanka. Hosted by Texas Lawyer, this blog is always a favorite in the voting. Among other things, Maslanka has recently used the blawg to impart a series of lessons learned during 30 years in the legal profession.

The contest also features a “For Fun” section, and Ford and Harrison’s That’s What She Said blawg is among the nominees. The blawg is a fun read examining the employment law faux pas typically portrayed in NBC’s The Office television show.

Vote for your favorite before December 30. The blawgs are divided into 12 categories, and you get 12 votes, but you are allowed to vote more than once in each category.
